About The Dyson DC25

The Dyson DC25 vacuum uses the Dyson Cyclone technology to provide it’s source of suction.

The Dyson Cyclone technology that is the power source of this vacuum is unique because it allows you to vacuum up as much as you need to without ever losing any of the vacuums suction. The way the cyclone works is that rather than using a normal filter or bag that tries to block dust while continuing to suck through tiny holes that get clogged up the cyclone spins the dust and are around with large amounts of force pushing the dust to the bottom of the canister creating a longer more powerful suction.

The Dyson DC25 also know as the dyson ball is the second vacuum cleaner in Dyson’s upright range to be equipped with their new patented technology known as “ball technology”.

What the ball provides is a unique way of adding complete directionality to a vacuum cleaner. What I mean is you are no longer required to move your vacuum in a straight line.

The ball is so easy to move; simply by turning your wrist you can instantly change the direction in which you are heading. What does this mean for you? Well it is simple if you see something to your left you can turn and pick it up without having to either turn your whole body, or putt along over to it in the normal forward and backward motion that our vacuum cleaners have had us accustomed to doing for years. The Dyson DC25 upright vacuum is really the first vacuum to have adjusted to the times that we live in.

Features are what make many people buy vacuum cleaners because well most vacuums aren’t all that different from one another. The Dyson DC25 on the other hand has already proven that it is different in two major ways it has more convenience and more power that most vacuums, but that isn’t all this vacuum has to offer.

The DC25 is available in 3 different models offering different design choices, accessory choices, performance features, and price.

The Dyson DC25 Models

The DC25 is currently available from Dyson in 3 different models:

  • Dyson DC25 Blueprint
  • Dyson DC25 Animal
  • Dyson DC25 All Floors

The Dyson DC25 Blueprint is a limited edition model of the DC25 that was made to pay homage to the great engineers of our world.  James Dyson whom is known for being an ingenious designer and engineer decided to put together a limited edition version of his ball vacuum cleaner with a low profile head to celebrate the lives of the engineers that have inspired him throughout his life.

The Dyson DC25 Animal is one of Dysons namesake upright vacuum cleaners.  This original  full sized ball vacuum cleaner  has changed the way a vacuum cleaner maneuvers and is equipped with a mini turbine head that is designed specifically to pick up animal hair from tight spaces and tough upholsteries.

The Dyson DC25 All Floors model is similar in design to the Animal, but is absent of the mini turbine head.  Let’s face it not all of us have pets and when it comes to the added expense it is unnecessary to have unless you really need it.

The Dyson DC28 Animal

I believe the Pursuit of Perfection is Lexus’ slogan, but with Dyson’s newest vacuum it seems like they are truly the company that is always looking for a way to perfect their products. Year after year Dyson has continually built new vacuum cleaners each with their own new improvements and developments; developments that have revolutionized the vacuum industry.EG The Dyson Cyclone and the The Dyson Ball. As the Dyson DC28 is premiered to the world we are also introduced to another new technology by the Dyson company; the Dyson Airmuscle technology. Although today’s article is to focus on the DC28 I would like to briefly explain what the Dyson airmuscle is too before I highlight it in it’s own article.

Dyson DC28 Animal Features:

The Dyson Airmuscle Technology is The Dyson DC28′s most prominent feature on the list. A technology that affects suction and seal for vacuuming on multiple surface types, the Airmuscle combines 3 components to make appropriate adjustments for floor height and surface area.

Then we get into the equipment that has been standard on Dyson vacuums for quite some time now. Now don’t get downtrodden when I say standard, although it may be standard on Dysons it is still exceptional technology. First we have the Dyson Cyclone which guarantees you will never lose suction, then we have our finger tip controls that will allow you to toggle your brush bar on and off. The vacuum is an Animal model which is equipped with the mini turbine head for removing pet hair from tough carpets and upholstery.

The Dyson DC28 Animal is also equipped with an attachment called the Flat Out head which is used to perform the task of getting under low couches and tables. This is something I am going to have to look more into because I don’t know about this attachment. I know Dyson use to have a tool very similar to this called the low reach floor tool, but I am not certain if they have just changed the name or invented something new. I will get on the job of finding out though.

Dyson DC28 On Sale

[ReviewAZON asin="B00208JVEG" display="inlinepost"] The DC28 is already available for sale online directly through Dyson’s website and through amazon.com. At the time of writing this article I have yet to see any available in retail stores in my area, but I haven’t been specifically looking as I am very happy with my current vacuum cleaner the Dyson DC24. But if they aren’t there yet I am sure they will be soon as this vacuum looks to be another top seller in the Dyson upright vacuum range.

Dyson DC28 Animal Specifications

Dimensions: 42.1 in. x 13.5 in. x 14.3 in. (H x W x D)
Weight: 20.61 lbs.
Suction power: 245 AW
Bin capacity: 0.61 gal

In my opinion it seems like the new DC28 is a bit on the heavy side weighing in at 20lbs. This could be quite the disadvantage as it makes vacuuming difficult and can really limit their potential demographic to men who are not elderly. A 20lb vacuum isn’t easy to use on stairs, or even to lug around for a long period of time.

Dyson DC28 Animal Cost

The price tag on the Dyson DC28 Animal is a little higher than many of you may feel comfortable with, but Dyson explains that with their vacuums you get a 5 year warranty that covers all parts. Including filters and belts which will generally give you a saving of almost 250.00 over a 5 year time span. Something that you should definitely consider. Vacuums aren’t cheap and you do get what you pay for. I think it is worth the extra cost up front to get a product that you know is going to work and that you know will not end up costing you more in the long run.

Dyson DC14: Dyson’s Easy Stair And High Reach Vacuum

The Dyson DC14

Vacuum cleaners come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and combination packages. Some are packed with the latest attachments for vacuuming high ceilings, others have low floor tools, but none offer the exceptional performance that the Dyson upright vacuums offer because they simply can’t match the Dyson Technology.

Dyson DC14 Technology

The Dyson DC14 is one of a select few vacuums that is equipped with the Dyson Cyclone Technology that guarantees your vacuum cleaner will never lose suction while you are using it. The Dyson Cyclone which is a feature that you will only find on Dyson vacuum cleaners is a patented technology that uses a whirlwind like motion to propel dust dirt and contaminants away from the vacuums HEPA filter meaning that while your vacuum is in use the filter is not being blocked by what it has already picked up. This is quite unlike the system in which a normal vacuum cleaner works.

Dyson DC14 & Your Health

Forgive me if I am assuming to much, but I would guess that one of the major reasons you keep your house clean and vacuum as often as you do is to insure the health of you and your family. Well if that is the case then I want to be sure that you know that the DC14 has a highly intuitive and easy to clean canister that can be emptied with the simple press of a button leaving you without the mess of bags or a handful of hair and dust.

Another bonus of buying a Dyson DC14 is that you will actually reduce the number of allergens and asthma irritants that are currently residing in your home. As every Dyson Model vacuum is certified as asthma and allergy friendly.

Dyson DC14 Models

The Dyson DC14 is an All Floors vacuum cleaner. All Floors means that the vacuum is designed to be efficient on cleaning all types of floors and surfaces, and also to be safe for all styles of floors. The Dyson DC14 All Floors comes with a motorized brush bar that allows for you to toggle the brush bar between on and off with the push of a button.

You may want to turn the motorized brush bar off for a few reasons. One so that you do not scratch or damage hardwood, vinyl, or ceramic floors. Two so that you do not catch or remove threads from area and surface rugs. Or three because you are vacuuming large amounts of long pet hairs that may cause the brush bar to clog.

The Dyson DC14 is also acclaimed as an easy stair vacuum and high and hard to reach ceilings as it is equipped with the Dyson Telescope Reach™ wand. The Wand allows you to extend your vacuums wand easily up to 27 ft. That makes cleaning the ceiling corners and fan blades is simple and stairs are a breeze.

Dyson DC25 Vs Dyson DC18 Slim

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Comparing two vacuum cleaners can be a difficult thing to do because one vacuum cleaner can be so different from the next. But to make life harder you have asked to compare two vacuums from the same company. I say it is harder because we are comparing two vacuum cleaners that are almost identical… but I promised to bring you the best Dyson Information so lets get started.

Dyson DC25 vs. Dyson DC18 Slim

First lets take a brief look at each cleaner and what it has to offer.

The Dyson DC25 Ball Vacuum Cleaner is an upright vacuum that comes in two seperate models the DC25 Animal, and the DC25 All Floors.  Each model is equipped with the Dyson Cyclone technology that guarantees to never lose suction, and a fingertip controlled brush head to turn your brushes on and off as needed.  The Dyson DC 25 is known as the Dyson Ball because it is 1 of three vacuum cleaners in their upright range to have the new Ball technology which breaks the mold of how vacuum cleaners  move.

The Dyson DC18 Slim is another one of Dyson’s vacuums in their upright range.  The DC18 is also equipped with Dyson’s Cyclone technology, and an easy to use on/off switch for it’s brush head.  The DC18 slim vacuum doesn’t offer any models, but shares many of the same features of the DC25. The primary feature of the DC18 is that it is very lightweight when compared to other upright vacuum cleaners.

Similiarities

  • Dyson Cyclone
  • Hygienic Canister
  • Asthma & Allergy Friendly
  • Lifetime HEPA Filter
  • Brush Control
  • Collapsible Wand

Differences

  • The DC18 is Lighter
  • The DC25 uses the Ball Technology

Which vacuum is better?

The answer to that question is a very difficult one because the vacuums from a cleaning standpoint are almost identical.  What it comes down to are the features of each vacuum that factor into use.

The DC25 vacuum would be my choice if I were in the market for a new Dyson vacuum cleaner.  The DC25 is equipped with the ball technology which I absolutely love.  It makes moving around furniture, corners, and any obstacles on the floor extremely easy.  While the DC18 Slim is a great vacuum cleaner that I would also love to own my age and build don’t really factor into me needing a light weight vacuum cleaner, and I live in a ranch so I don’t have to lug it up and down stairs.

With that said though if you are older, smaller, or have a lot of stairs in your house the DC18 slim may be the right vacuum cleaner for you.  It simply makes your life easier when carrying and pushing it due to it’s light weight.

In summary, the decision really needs to be made to suite your personal needs.  The DC25 and the Dyson DC18 slim are both very efficient and powerful vacuums.

So you need to ask yourself do you need great manueverability? If so choose the Dyson DC25 Ball vacuum cleaner. Or Do you need a light weight vacuum?  If you do then go with the DC18

Dyson DC25 All Floors Upright Vacuum

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Vacuum cleaners were made with the intention of creating a convenient way for you to clean your house and they were for quite some time. Then the world started to change, houses got bigger, more furniture was added to them, and floor surfaces changed throughout the house, but all the while the way a vacuum was designed never did. The Dyson DC25 All Floors on the other hand has broken the mold by changing the way a full size upright vacuum cleaner moves.

The Dyson DC25 Ball is the second vacuum cleaner in Dyson’s upright range to be equipped with their new patented technology known as “ball technology”.

But the DC25 vacuum cleaner isn’t just convenient it is powerful too. The DC25 is equipped with the patented cyclone technology that doesn’t ever loose suction, it has finger tip control over the brush heads, a collapsible and extending hose for cleaning the hard to reach places, and an easy to empty hygienic canister that is certified Asthma and Allergy Friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

So what makes this model special? Well it is the brush head control which adds to the Dyson uniqueness. Having the ability to be able to turn your brush head off to protect your hard surfaces such as hardwood floors, ceramic tile, or your rugs without having to shut the vacuum off or without losing any power makes vacuum extremely convenient and efficient and able to work on every floor in your house.

The Dyson DC25 is a full sized upright vacuum so if you are anything like me it is a little to big for my needs. if you are looking for all of the unique features this vacuum has to offer but need a smaller more convenient version make sure you check out the Dyson DC24. The DC24 has all the same features as the 25 but at a lower cost and in a smaller package. The Dyson DC18 Slim is also a very popular model that you may be interested in checking out.

Dyson DC24 All Floors – Have A Ball

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

There are some upright vacuums that are good for picking up, some that are light weight, some that are easy to move around, but then their is the Dyson DC24 upright vacuum cleaner. The DC24 is hands down the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used, and it is currently the upright that is living in my closet at home and will probably outlast the closet which it is in.

The Dyson DC24 is another one of Dyson’s all floors vacuums in their upright range and as usual it is simply outstanding. What makes this vacuum special compared to the rest is how convenient everything about it is.

It all starts with the Dyson Cyclone technology that runs the core of the vacuum. The cyclone is used to create a higher more efficient method of suction that is guaranteed to keep from losing any of it’s suction power. The Cyclone is wrapped up by one of Dyson’s hygienic asthma and allergy friendly canisters that can hold quite a load even for this vacuums small stature. The canister is simple to empty as are all of the Dyson upright vacuums. Press the canister release button to remove it from the vacuum and the carry it to the nearest garbage can and press it again and the bottom of the canister gently pops open emptying the dirt and continents below.

The major technology breakthrough in the The Dyson DC24 Ball Vacuum is the “Ball” itself. This new breakthrough has changed the way the upright vacuums maneuver. The ball is your wheel and so instead of being able to move back and forward your vacuum can now move in any direction with a simple twitch of the wrist. I love this vacuum for this feature. I have a small home with a lot of furniture. The DC24 makes moving around it simple without having to stick to the old forward, back, turn, forward, back, turn motion that my old vacuum had me accustomed to doing. The ball allows for so much more. I am in, out, around corners without losing my momentum or having to create a little dance to do it.

Match that with the flexibility that Dyson has given the DC24 by providing it with the technology to vacuum on all floors and you almost have the perfect vacuum. The Dyson DC24 vacuum cleaner comes with a push button method of turning off your head’s brush so that you can easily clean your hard floors and rugs without ruining them. While still having the option of flicking it back on without turning off the vacuum if you need to go back and get the carpeted rooms.

The collapsible hose makes cleaning your couch, car and vertical blinds very easy, without any of the hassle normal hoses can provide.

The Dyson DC24 is an amazing vacuum and one of the cheapest in their line. If you are interested in getting the bang for your buck this vacuum has it all.

Dyson Upright Vacuums Will Clean It Right Up.

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Upright vacuum cleaners come in all shapes and sizes, some are powerful cleaners that can suck up pennies and and bolts, others are precision devices that work on blinds and fan blades. But none are quite like the Dyson upright vacuums that provide long lasting quality suction, a host of features to make selecting the correct upright easy, and precision tools to do the delicate jobs and not just the tough ones.

The Dyson Upright Vacuums:

The Dyson DC14 All Floors
Is an upright vacuum with power that promises to stay forever. The DC14 uses the Dyson cyclone technology that guarantees no loss in suction even under heavy use. The DC14 upright is easy to use on all floors because with the flip of a switch you can turn off your brushes protecting your hardwoods and rugs. It also offers hygienic cleaning and it certified to be asthma friendly.

The Dyson DC14 Animal
Is much like the all floors version of this Dyson upright vacuum the DC14 animal utilized the cyclone technology, but this time is mixed with a mini turbine head to remove dirt and animal hair from tight spaces in upholstery. The DC14 animal also has a low profile head making it easy to clean under sofas and beds while staying asthma and allergy certified.

The Dyson DC17 Asthma and Allergy
Is the king of the upright vacuums. The DC17 is proven to pick up better than any other upright of its kind. The DC17 offers hand/fingertip brush control, quick connect and detach telescoping wand for high and hard to reach items, and a lifetime HEPA filter that traps microscopic allergen and as always is asthma and allergy certified.

The Dyson DC17 Animal
Has all the strengths of the DC17 Asthma and Allergy and was given an extra boost by coupling it with the mini turbine head that we where introduced to with the DC14 Animal. A strong upright vacuum with the ability to pick up anything you throw at it especially pet hair and dander.

The Dyson DC18
Is really when Dyson started thinking not only about performance but efficiency. This lightweight upright vacuum comes in at just under 16lbs. This Dyson upright vacuum makes maneuverability easy and raises your vacuums efficiency without losing any of it’s the power. The DC18 is asthma friendly, easy to empty and uses the cyclone technology that promises to never lose suction.

The Dyson DC24
Is my personal favorite. It is a tiny machine that does the work of a giant. The DC24 uses the ball technology making maneuvering the house as simple as pie. With a turn of my wrist I am off in any direction with an upright vacuum that can pickup anything in its path. This dyson upright vacuum easy light enough to carry and the reversible telescoping wand make cleaning ceiling fans and stairs a cinch.

The Dyson DC25 All Floors
Is the DC24 on steroids. This vacuum brings all of the amenities that the DC 24 has but bumps them up to a bigger vacuum meaning less emptying and more vacuuming. The DC25 has the motorized brush bar that is great for use on any floor and a quick reach telescoping wand to get the ceilings and stairs. The DC25 is also a full sized upright vacuum with ball technology that allows you to turn in an instant with a flip of the wrist.

The Dyson DC25 Animal
Is exactly what it’s name implies. This Dyson upright vac. is an animal against animal fur. Using the ball technology the DC25 can pick up everything and anything while gently and gracefully moving around furniture and toys in simple easy motions. The DC25 has all the amenities of the DC25 All Floors but with an added boost to keep your house fresher if you have animals.
